Apple iPad 3 to launch March 7

 

 

Apple has confirmed it will launch its third generation iPad on March 7, following claims a massive shipment of the devices was en route to the US from China.The event will be held in San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts at 10 am Pacific Standard Time on Wednesday 7 MarchThere's no indication yet what the next iPad will actually be called despite all rumours about the device falling under the banner of iPad 3, in line with its previous releases.

Apple has sold 55 million iPads since the device first launched, in 2010, and analysts sees it as a key product for the future if the company is to continue with tremendous growth.It is thought that the new iPad will have a vastly improved display, with double the screen resolution of the iPad 2, and a faster processor.

The iPad 2 is powered by an Apple-designed A5 processor but some have suggested that the new iPad will feature an A6 processor that is either a new dual-core chip or a quad-core chip.It is not clear whether the new iPad will feature improved cameras, increased storage or Apple's voice-controlled personal assistant called siri.

Rules View: Here you can set filters. In other words you need to describe what you consider spam and what is not spam for you. There are 2 types of rules (depending on their behaviour): block and accept.

Nokia 808 Pureview has a 41-megapixel camera

Mary McDowell, the Nokia's executive vice president for mobile phones, has announced a new smartphone, the 808 PureView, which has an unprecedented 41-megapixel camera.The phone is expected to launch in Europe around May.McDowell said the firm's engineers had been working on the product for the last couple of years.McDowell said it was "natural" to assume that its technology would be used in other Nokia products in the future, although she declined to be drawn specifically on whether it was "when or if" the company would produce a Windows Phone with such imaging capabilities.The 808 uses the Symbian platform, which Chief Executive Steven Elop described as "burning" before he changed the company's strategy to use Microsoft's rival software. Symbian remains popular in developing markets of Asia,Latin America and Africa.The device is built on Nokia's existing global reputation for "excellent imaging technology".

The device was larger than its rivals although it was still sized to fit in pockets, rather than replace a full-size camera.It uses a 1.3GHz processor, comes with 16GB of storage and runs a 4" screen at 360 x 640, which is below HD resolution.Nokia also announced that it was expanding its range of Windows Phone devices for Europe. At 41mp, the 808 phone is able to shoot images that Nokia claims can be printed at "poster size". Files, however, condense four or five pixels into one, and Nokia claims they are smaller than equivalent products from rivals. A Carl Zeiss lens shoots in continuous focus HD video, at 1080p.In my own opinion,I can see the market for this phone especially because the camera is extra ordinary.

I am also very much looking forward to Symbian Carla and for the Dual-Core only handsets.I think those who says Symbian is dead are joking and have no idea what is ahead by the veterans of the industry.Symbian phones are everywhere in developing countries which are doing much better than the west.I have always told my friends that it could be the reason as to why the developing countries are doing better especially with powerful humble smartphones.Nokia 808 is by far the best phone to come from the Espoo conveyor belt.

Fear of being Phoneless

 

 

 

This past week has been one to remember as it was the first time I put my hand on Samsung Galaxy Nexus and this evening after two months with iPhone 4S I can confirm that am one of those who fear to be phone less.In fact,same week saw someone ask me if I'd panic were I to be without one of my smart phones.In an Australian survey released late last year,two thirds of 3,000 people polled said they feared being phoneless and am one of them.

In Australia,those aged 18-24 suffered the most 92 followed by my agemates 25-34 at 88%. Our Australian women were 10 per cent more likely to be nomophobic than men according to statistics in my possession.In my opinion,I guess that this may be due to the fact men often carry a second cellphone like has been my case where even owning over five different smart phones has become a norm.The research shows that signs of nomophobia are broad and very surprising like nausea,sweating profusely and even trembling especially when the mobile phone is out of reach.Has this happened to you or someone close to you?

Another interesting observation from the study is that if you obsessively check the phone and worry about whether it is in a safe place, you may also have a problem which is common among many phones users globally.Recently,chiropractors claimed too much time spent bent over mobile devices does cause a rise in a range of symptoms such as neck strain and headaches. In my case,I fear a sense of disconnection more than anything when not having any of my smartphones and tablets.I think it may be time to seek professional assistance.

AntSnes V0.70 Software

 

AntSnes is Snes9x emulator for S60. It is actually based on OpenSnes9xGP, modified Snes9x for GP32 handheld, which had parts of itadapted to/totally rewritten for GP32 (in C or ASM). As GP32 is ARM CPU based device (same as S60 phones), these optimizations were used in this thisport. The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (also known as the Super NES, SNES or Super Nintendo) is a 16-bit video game console that was released by Nintendo. AntSnes allows you to play the games available on Super Nintendo.
All you need is the ROM of these games. Once you have ROMS, you can transfer them to your mobile and try loading them in this application using Load ROM as shown in the previous screenshot. You can easily get thousands of ROM from the internet. Just try googling them. With this download, you will be provided a sample Super Mario World ROM to test this application. Once loaded, you will be able to play the game as shown in the following screenshot. AntSnes is a nice application for your mobile because it open doors for thousands of Nintendo games available already. You can play them all on your S60 mobiles. The application is in Beta stage and trying to get better on future releases. The current version is speed optimized. This emulator should work fine with all Symbian S60 5th mobiles such as Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, N97, X6, 5530 XpressMusic, 5230 and 5233 mobiles. The application is not yet tested on Samsung i8910 Omnia HD, but supposed to work properly. It's fun playing games like Super Mario or S60 mobiles. It will take sometime for you to hands-on with AntSnes.
